YOUTH LEADERSHIP GREATER ENID

Formerly known as ROOTs, Youth Leadership Greater Enid, is a youth leadership program for high school students. Established in 1996, the program aims to show students and young adults the career and life opportunities Enid has to offer. This fast-paced, behind-the- scenes look at their hometown will open their eyes to the possibilities around them. They will be encouraged, applauded and inspired as they build their leadership skills.

Youth Leadership Greater Enid is open to all outgoing freshmen and above residing in the Greater Enid area and does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, or national origin. Participants are selected on ability, demonstrated interest in their community, and insight for effective leadership.

The application process is to ensure a class that consists of members from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The class will be limited to a maximum of 10 members.

The retreat consists of a mandatory four-day, three-night session held in Enid on June 4-7, 2024. Participants are required to attend the entire session. Youth LGE participants will also be encouraged to attend a recognition banquet in correlation with LGE Orientation in August 2024.
